Mfuwe Lodge

A unique lodge situated in the South Luangwa National Park with 18 luxury en-suite thatched chalets, each with a private decking area that overlooks a lagoon that attracts abundant wildlife and game from the African bush.

The open plan central lodge facility incorporates reception, lounge, dining and bar areas, under a thatch roof supported by palm poles and dominated by two impressive chimneys at opposite ends. This cool and airy central meeting place is the heart of the lodge. It opens onto a broad timber deck that cantilevers dramatically over the main lagoon. From the comfort of the Lodge guests may view some of Africa’s majestic wildlife as animals come down to drink. Elephant, hippopotamus, many antelope species and crocodiles are plentiful in this area.

Accommodation is provided in 18 open-plan chalets, each with en-suite bathroom. One third of each chalet’s perimeter can be opened, to allow the guest to enjoy the views, the sounds, the scents and the mood of the African wilderness. Each chalet has a large private deck overlooking one of the lagoons.

The bathrooms have both bath and shower, with separate toilet. The bathing corner can be completely opened to offer guests an open-air bathing experience. Five Chalets are suites with an elevated sleeping area, to allow space for a double bed, and increased lounging area. Each room has a private bar. The thatched roof has been designed to guarantee maximum ventilation, even though all rooms on the lagoon are dramatically sheltered by huge ebony trees

Kuyenda – A Traditional Zambian Bush Camp

Kuyenda is nestled amongst shady trees on the banks of the Manzi River. Accommodation is in 4 authentic thatched rondavels containing large spacious beds, mosquito netting and en-suite facilities including shower, toilet and wash basin. The central dining area lounge and bar overlook a grassy plain with abundant wildlife where the drama of wild Africa is your stage. Kuyenda is the ideal base from which to experience the continual unfolding of Africa’s dramatic wilderness at close range.

Chamilandu -Up Market Raised Camp

Chamilandu camp offers comfort, class and beauty in one of the Luangwa Valleys prime remote river locations. Chindeni -Luxury Raised Deck Tented Camp

Chindeni is situated on the edge of a permanent lagoon with the Chindeni Hills as a magnificent backdrop. Raised on wooden decking, Chindeni’s 4 en-suite luxury tents have private decks from which you can view the resident big game or simply enjoy the serenity of the lagoon. Each tent has 2 queen-sized beds, hot and cold running water, shower, toilet, double vanities and polished floors. Chindeni is a sister camp to Bilimungwe but has an altogether different theme and character. The camp nestles on the apex of a permanent oxbow lagoon, offset by the magnificent Nchendeni Hills. This is the ideal spot for both the avid and intrepid Game spotter as well as the more sedentary visitors who wish to observe nature at it’s best without too much personal effort.

Raised on wooden decking, Chindeni’s four en-suite tents provide the same luxury features as Bilimungwe. Each tent has its own raised veranda from which to view the resident game and enjoy the serene yet breathtaking tranquillity of the vast lagoon, from a vantage point of relative safety. Ancient ebony trees with their sweet fruit shade the bar and dining area and an adjacent, gently sloping walkway provides access to a lagoon-side retreat. From here, guests can enjoy an open air dining experience or the spectacular sundown as it reflects from the still waters of the lagoon.

The lush and wide permanent lagoon which stretches out from just beneath your own private balcony ensures that you need make little effort as you lazily watch all types of game parade before you in the joys of the verdant pantry at your feet.

Bilimungwe -A Luxury Zambian Trails Camp

Bilimungwe is a cool and comfortable camp set beneath magnificent Mahogany trees on the edge of a small plain. The camp consists of 4 reed and thatch chalets with en-suite shower, toilet and double vanities. The rustic dining area and fully stocked bar are constructed on raised decking with views of Bilimungwe’s permanent water hole and abundant game. Bilimungwe trails camp is nestled in riverine forest along the picturesque banks of the Luangwa River.

The camp consists of four reed and thatch chalets with en-suite showers, toilet and double vanities. Each chalet has two queen sized double beds with large mosquito nets and an individual rechargeable lighting system. The rustic dining area and fully stocked bar offer panoramic views of Bilimangwe’s water hole and the abundant resident game that it attracts.
