North Luangwa River lodge  is set on the banks of the Luangwa River, in an ancient grove of Leadwood trees at the confluence of the Luangwa and Lutaba Rivers. It has a truly magnificent view of the Luangwa River, as it meanders through the valley as wild and untamed as Africa of old. Built of traditional, locally sourced materials, the bungalows and lodge are handcrafted out of timber and thatch, each having its own magnificent view of the River.

The Lodge is located within the North Luangwa National Park, which has a wealth of wild game. Hippo and Elephant rome the bush near the Lodge and Lions roar you to sleep at night, a resident pack of African Wild Dogs are often spotted near the lodge and the Rhino sanctuary is very close. The Luangwa valley is the home of the iconic walking safari, which we pride ourselves on and continue the tradition.
